Recovery is possible

Today, approximately 23,000,000 Americans are living clean and sober lives. With the support of this powerful transformational program, you can become one of them.

Welcome

At The Willow Tree, we offer a highly personalized 12-week program of recovery. Your journey begins with a 2 hour meeting with counselor Peter Wohl. During this meeting, we will talk about your hopes, goals, needs and aspirations, your spiritual background and experience, and identify your challenges in recovery. This meeting is not a clinical assessment; our aim is to understand all aspects of your life experience in depth in order to map out your recovery pathway.

Working Together

Together, we will develop a daily home practice that that includes meditation, prayer and ceremony that will be adapted to your spiritual background and preferences. At the Willow Tree home base, a cozy cabin in rural Oakland, Maine, you will learn about and participate in outdoor eco-spiritual activities. Elements of traditional addiction counseling and recovery programs may be used as appropriate to your needs. Our immediate goal is to help you free yourself from the destructive alliance with the substance you are using and to begin building a rich, healthy, fulfilling life.

Begin building a rich & healthy life

If you are in active opioid detox, you will be connected to an acupuncture practitioner to alleviate your physical symptoms. You will also be introduced into a supportive community of like-minded people.

At Willow Tree, we do things differently. We view all people through the “Matrix of Connectedness.” During the twelve weeks, you will meet weekly with Peter to discuss your progress as seen through this matrix. You will learn additional recovery activities based on your needs and you may join in group sessions with others who are making this journey to recovery.
